The BDP-51FD Blu-ray was a bit 'Hassel of a firmware update and go through the configuration of the system, but when you're done, it was worth it. The video and audio output for Blu-ray and standard DVD movies is very good to play with my Samsung 40 "LCD HD TV and a Pioneer receiver and surround sound system. I do not know how much I'll be Blu-ray watching movies, but the upscaling of standard DVD movie is amazing and almost as good as the Blu-ray. my children and grandchildren really enjoy their visit is now much more with this new body and the earth shook Surround Sound System subwoofer and all, a great addition to your home-entertainment. The only negative I worry, I uploaded a bit 'slower, with the speed of the Blu-ray Disc, but this is a problem with the Blu-ray Disc player, not just the Pioneer device appears.
