"The BRAVIA Sync allows you to enjoy the convenience of a remote control to guide and control all compatible devices for home entertainment.
I chose a Sony Blu-ray, mostly because I wanted the ease of use that the quotation above suggests. It appears, to "use and control" Sony on and off. N. other operations, such as DVD playback, pause, rewind, etc., can be controlled through Bravia Sync.
